Safety on Tour

Your safety is our number one priority.

Whether you are looking for a leisurely trip with just a few miles per day on dedicated cycling paths or an adrenaline-pumping MTB adventure in the mountains, we want every tour to be memorable, but just as importantly, we want it to be safe. That’s why we custom-plan each tour, tailoring every route to your interests while evaluating it through the lens of safety.

Thoughtful Safety-First Planning

The safety of our clients and our tour guides is always at the forefront when we are planning our tours. Before we even begin mapping out your dream cycling adventure, we ask ourselves one critical question: "Is it safe?"" From terrain to traffic conditions, cycling comes with a number of inherent risks that we seek to minimize through careful planning and risk assessment.

We don't gamble on safety, which is why we test ride all of our routes. This is a crucial step in guaranteeing the safety of the cycling routes we have planned. We verify first-hand that the roads and paths are cycleable and safe. We will never send you on a path that we have not previously tested. Unlike generic itineraries or AI-generated suggestions, our routes are personally vetted by real cyclists: the people on our team. We ride every mile ourselves, testing not just the scenic appeal but the practical safety of the roads, paths, and trails. We believe this human touch makes all the difference. AI can offer suggestions, but it can't ride a route, assess surface quality, or experience the feel of a descent.

First Aid Trained Guides

At the heart of your safety is our team. Every guide completes comprehensive first aid and safety training. Whether it's a scraped knee, dehydration, or just navigating an unexpected detour, our guides are equipped to keep you safe and supported. If you are on a guided tour, our guides will always be nearby to help you. If you are on a self-guided tour, our staff will only ever be a phone call away to help support you with any issues or emergencies that may arise. When you're on tour with us, you're in capable, caring hands.

Your Role in a Safe Journey

Safety is a shared responsibility. While we do everything we can to prepare and protect you, we also encourage all riders to follow safety guidelines, wear helmets, stay hydrated, and communicate openly with your guide.

If you have health concerns, talk to your doctor before your trip about any precautions you may need to take, and make sure to communicate those to us during the planning process. Together, we can ensure every ride is as safe as it is spectacular.
