Enjoy the Many Flavors of Italy

What comes to mind when you think of Italian food, besides pasta and pizza? If you don’t have an Italian grandmother who loves to cook (believe us, they all do), you’re probably not aware that our country possesses an expansive palate.

Have you ever tried cacciucco, a delicious Tuscan seafood stew, or braciole, a savory beef dish? You might add a healthy sprinkling of parmesan or mozzarella to your spaghetti, but did you know that Italy is home to over 400 distinct cheese varieties? Join us on a bike tour of Italy or Sicily, and you’ll enjoy the many flavors of our homeland – from rich balsamic vinegars and fragrant rosemary, to musky truffles and the sweet combination of ricotta and sugar found in cannoli.

Currently, we have spots available on several of our cycling tours of Italy and Sicily, each of which takes you to cozy trattorias or even Michelin-rated eateries, and wineries with vines as far as the eye can see. Some nights we’ll introduce you to our favorite chefs, and on others you’ll have the chance to explore towns in Tuscany, the Italian Alps, or the Apulia for hidden culinary delights. What’s great about a bike tour of these regions is while you’ll feast on local specialties, there’s no guilt. You’ll ride it off the following day toward your next destination!
